Pete Wilderotter
GUITAR | BASS
Pete is a multi-instrumentalist with a primary focus on guitar and bass. He is most inspired by rock & roll, garage, punk, soul, and rhythm & blues, and proudly considers himself a lifelong classic rock aficionado.
After graduating high school, Pete moved to New York City, where he lived from 2008–2019, performing extensively in a wide range of bands. Most notably, he played with Greasy Hearts and Mammoth Spirit, both of which released music on indie labels and toured nationally.
From 2017–2019, Pete also worked as a touring and session musician for songwriter Breanna Barbara, performing national tours and contributing as a co-writer on select songs. This collaboration earned him his first published songwriting credits with BMI, including several songs featured on the hit Showtime series Shameless.
In 2019, Pete relocated to Montclair, NJ, where he formed the folk-rock project Pete Wilde & the Timeless Legends. As the band’s primary songwriter and leader, he wrote the music and lyrics while performing vocals, guitar, and harmonica. The project remained active until the COVID pandemic, after which it was disbanded.
Since then, Pete has continued his musical education through jazz guitar studies. With decades of playing experience, he offers strong guidance in instrument technique and music theory, but his true focus is enriching each student’s overall musical journey—creating a lasting experience that helps students become not only better musicians, but better people.
Pete places special emphasis on songwriting and band leadership, helping students develop a deeper understanding of their instruments while learning how to clearly write, arrange, and communicate their original music to other musicians. His songwriting lessons are a cornerstone of his teaching and a point of great pride.
He looks forward to meeting you and making music together.
