BRENT BERGHOLM

GUITAR | BASS

Brent Bergholm is a New Jersey born musician. He is a versatile and accomplished guitar player who can play an array of styles. He won “Top Guitar Player” in the Asbury Park Music Awards three years in a row from 2011 to 2013.

Having lived in Los Angeles for six years, he was a side man for Eagles of Death Metal featuring Josh Homme on Drums and Music Director for Jesses Hughes solo project “Boots Electric”. He also worked with pop artists, country artists, and rock bands as a session musician/song writer/producer. He had the pleasure of working with artists like Greg Hetson from Circle Jerks/Bad Religion.

He has released 10 albums with his bands Hsu-nami and The Battery Electric. Some of these albums included working with producers like Pete Steinkopf of Little Eden Studios (NJ) and Dave Catching of Rancho De La Luna (Joshua Tree, CA).

While on the West Coast, he was an in-house session musician for SGV Sound Studios in Alhambra, CA. He worked closely with owner, Rik Collins, who was a touring member of The Seeds with Sky Saxon. He has toured and performed all over the United States, Canada, Asia, United Kingdom, and Mexico with his bands, opening for many national acts like Social Distortion, Joan Jett, The Black Lips, The Sonics, David Cassidy, Wheatus, and many more. He also had the pleasure of performing music festivals national and abroad, like Sea Hear Now (Asbury Park), Modern Sky Festival (China), FEST (Florida), Spring Scream (Taiwan), and Taiwan-fest (Canada).


Brent has been playing guitar since 1997, originally in punk bands performing in Monmouth County. His tastes would grow to other styles like Heavy Metal, Blues, Funk, Soul, and Jazz. He studied Music Business at Ramapo College of New Jersey. To further advance his music theory knowledge he studied Jazz Guitar with Tony Cimorosi.

Brent has also been a private instructor for 25 years. Working with students of all ages getting them to the next level to help them achieve their goals and dreams.
