The Artist Program is an innovative educational experience that introduces Lakehouse Music Academy students to the steps necessary to develop as original musical artists—songwriting and collaboration, self-promotion and marketing, performance skills and opportunities, and recording experiences.
When a student joins The Artist Program, they take weekly one-hour songwriting lessons with professional songwriters. Every 6 or 8 weeks, they have the option to collaborate with a new songwriter. Artist Program students will have opportunities to perform their original music in showcases and occasional gigs. When the artist has amassed a collection of songs, they meet with the program directors to discuss recording their music at Lakehouse Recording Studios.
Once an artist has recorded, they are officially invited to join Moto Records, Lakehouse's educational record label. Moto Records provides resources to emerging artists (release show plans/venue options, photographers, merchandising options, design/branding ideas, digital marketing plans, etc.) to ensure they can start promoting their music in the Asbury Park music scene and beyond! The Lakehouse Music Academy Artist Program has the means—and the passion—to create the most talented, most prepared young artists in the area.
